The Worth Valley's first major event of 2016! The organizing team seemed to be fighting a losing battle to get this one going after multiple visitor cancellations and finally the railways own Standard 4 failing at short notice. Despite everything a gallant effort was put on show with the remaining home fleet providing the entertainment for the viewing public.

Our annual 4x4 expedition saw us back in the Yorkshire Dales exploring the tracks and green lanes of the magnificent National Park. Taking two vehicles this year the trip saw us traveling from Garsdale to Pateley Bridge over the two days with overnight camping Saturday night.

Castle Howard in North Yorksire is quite possibly one of the grandest private residences in the country. Home to the Howard family for over 300 years, the estate also includes extensive and diverse gardens as well as the 'Temple of Four Winds' and the family Mausoleum.
Familiar to fans of 'Brideshead Revisited' as the fictional 'Brideshead' in both the 1981 adaption and the 2008 feature film.
